4-Chloro-2-fluoro-N-(2-fluorophenyl)-5-[(8aR)-hexahydropyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazin-2(1H)-yl]carbonyl]benzenesulfonamide (4FFCB) is a novel analgesic that has been shown to have neuropathic pain and diabetic pain relief. 4FFCB has been associated with an improvement in the quality of life for patients with neuropathic pain, as well as a reduction in the use of opioid medications. A multicenter study found that 4FFCB was effective for treating chronic lower back, neck, and shoulder pain. The most common side effects were nausea, vomiting, and constipation.
