Trans-1,4-Cyclohexanediisocyanate (TDI) is a polymer film that can be used as a reaction product. It is produced by the reaction of diphenyl ether with hydroxyl group under the action of sodium carbonate. TDI has been shown to form polymeric matrixes when combined with ethylene diamine and allyl carbonate. TDI is also used as a substrate for film-forming polymers such as polyurethane. TDI can be used in radiation therapy because it does not produce any harmful substances during irradiation and its radiation cross-section is high. TDI also has an allergic reaction to human skin, which may be due to the presence of allergenic fatty acid residues such as palmitic acid.
