Cyclopentylhydrazine hydrochloride is a heterobicyclic compound that inhibits the production of the enzyme, glutamine synthetase. This prevents the formation of glutamate and increases pyruvate levels in the body, which leads to an increase in energy and a decrease in depression. Cyclopentylhydrazine hydrochloride also has anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, this drug inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA by binding to cellular nucleotides and preventing them from being used as building blocks for DNA or RNA molecules. It also inhibits cancer growth by binding to glucocorticoid receptors on cells, leading to a decrease in inflammation and cancer cell proliferation.
