• Descripción: 1-Chloromethyl naphthalene is a fluorescence probe that is used to measure the concentration of hydrochloric acid in pharmaceutical preparations. The probe can be detected using a spectrophotometer at wavelengths of 400 nm and 605 nm. It has been shown to have antifungal activity against Candida albicans, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Aspergillus fumigatus in vitro. 1- Chloromethyl naphthalene has also been shown to inhibit the transformation of lymphocytes with mitogens and the formation of erythrocytes in mice. This chemical substance is not very toxic for humans because it does not form carcinogenic molecules when reacting with chlorine atom.
