3-Chloro-N-methoxy-N-methylbenzamide is a ligand that can be used in catalytic systems. It has been shown to react with monoxide to form the corresponding iodides and phosphines, which are stabilized by the aminocarbonylation or carbonylation of the backbones. 3-Chloro-N-methoxy-N-methylbenzamide is biologically stable and has been shown to catalyze many reactions, including aminocarbonylation and carbonylation. The ligand is synthesized from chloroacetaldehyde, methoxyacetone, and methyl benzoate.
