6-Chloropyridazine-3-carboxamide is a chemical compound with the formula (CHCl)N. It is a white solid that can be prepared by reacting methyl esters and butylamine with boron trifluoride etherate in the presence of boron trifluoride. The reaction sequence starts with the addition of methyl esters to a solution of boron trifluoride etherate, followed by the addition of butylamine. The product crystallizes from methanolic and etherial solutions as colorless needles. 6-Chloropyridazine-3-carboxamide is used as an intermediate in organic syntheses such as peptides, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides.
