Descripción:
2-Chloro-3-chloromethylthiophene is a potent antiviral agent that inhibits the replication of influenza A virus. The antiviral activity of 2-chloro-3-chloromethylthiophene was observed in cell culture and in mice infected with influenza A virus. It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of viral replication by interfering with the polymerase activity of the virus. This compound is also an antifungal drug, which has been shown to have a synergistic effect when combined with remdesivir, a drug used for HIV treatment. Recrystallized 2-chloro-3-chloromethylthiophene can be obtained from dimethylformamide (DMF) or DMF solvents.
