2,4-Dichloro-3-methylphenyl-1,2,4-triazine-3,5(2H,4H)-dione is a chemical compound that can be synthesized in three steps. First the diazotization of 2,4-dichlorophenol and sodium nitrite produces 2-(4-chloro-3-methylphenyl)-1,2,4-triazine. The chlorination of this intermediate with chlorine gas yields the desired product 2-(4-chloro-3-methylphenyl)-1,2,4-triazine 3,5(2H,4H)-dione. This compound is then hydrolyzed to produce 2-(4-chloro-3 methylphenyl)acetic acid. Decarboxylation of this acid yields 2-(4 chloro 3 methylphenyl)ethanol. Finally cyclization of this alcohol produces 1-[(1S)-1
