Descripción:
5-Chloro-6-hydroxy-1H-pyrimidin-4-one is an oxychloride of malonate. It can be extracted from malonate by chlorination, which is a reaction of phosphorus oxychloride and diethyl malonate in the presence of an organic solvent. The synthesis method for this compound is a chlorination reaction with formamidine, phosphorus oxychloride, diethyl malonate and an organic alkali such as methanol in dropwise fashion. This process produces 5-chloro-6-hydroxy-1H-pyrimidin-4-one and formamide as products.
