Descripción:1-(Cyclohexylmethyl)piperazine (PBTZ169) is a covalent inhibitor of the enzyme nitric oxide synthase, which is a drug target for the treatment of cancer. PBTZ169 has shown inhibitory activity against tumor cell lines and clinical studies have shown that it can induce tumor regression in mice. The mechanism of action of this drug is not yet fully understood, but it has been shown to form stable covalent adducts with pyrrole-containing enzymes such as nitric oxide synthase. This interaction may be due to its nucleophilic character.
