Cis-1,3-cyclohexanediamine is a reactive molecule that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on cancer cells. It is thought to act by binding to the amines in the cell membrane, leading to steric interactions with the protein and disruption of the cancer cell's function. Cis-1,3-cyclohexanediamine also has an anti-inflammatory effect as it can chelate metal ions such as iron and copper. This molecule has been shown to have a high affinity for acidic environments, with a pK a of 4.5.
