This compound also induces cytotoxicity and significant cell death in colorectal adenocarcinoma cells. 4-Chloro-2-aminophenol is a weak acid that reacts with hydrochloric acid to form a diazonium salt, which reacts with benzene to form an intramolecular hydrogen bond. The final product of this reaction is a solid phase microextraction (SPME) sorbent that can be used to extract analytes from liquid samples.
