• Descripción: Clodronate impurity D is an insoluble, reactive tetraphosphate that contains a hydroxy group on the phosphate moiety. It can be prepared by reacting sodium or potassium with chloroform and phosphoric acid. This product is used in pharmaceutical preparations as an anticancer agent and as a component in detergent compositions. Clodronate impurity D has been shown to have properties that are similar to those of clodronate, including anti-inflammatory activities. The stable crystal form of clodronate impurity D can be obtained from pyrophosphoric acid under alkali metal conditions.
