Descripción:Larotrectinib is a drug used to treat a type of cancer called TRK fusion cancers. This drug has been shown to be effective in vitro and in vivo by inhibiting the growth of tumour cells with mutant TRK fusions. Larotrectinib binds competitively to the ATP-binding site of the TRK receptor, blocking its activation by ATP. Larotrectinib has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cells with mutant TRK fusions in culture and in animal models, including a mouse model for human breast cancer.
