• Descripción: C.I. pigment violet 32 is a synthetic dye that is used as a colorant in polycarbonate products, such as the Lexan brand of polycarbonate plastics. It is also used in the manufacture of glycol esters and other chemical products. C.I. pigment violet 32 can be manufactured by reacting hydrogen chloride with an amine to produce a glycol ester, which reacts with an aromatic hydrocarbon to form the dye. The synthesis of this synthetic dye requires radiation and heat as well as a polymerization initiator and primary amino compounds to form the final product.
