Descripción:Crotyl chloride is a predominantly trans-cyclohexane ring with an oxidation catalyst. It is used in the synthesis of cycloalkanoic and alkanoic acids, fatty acids and esters. The reaction mechanism for crotyl chloride involves halides, sodium salts and copper chloride. The Friedel-Crafts reaction can be used for the synthesis of crotyl chloride, which entails the addition of an alkene to an alkyne. This reaction also requires hydrochloric acid and chlorine gas.
