Descripción:Chloridazon is a drug that inhibits the activity of p450, which is an enzyme involved in the synthesis of cholesterol. Chloridazon binds to metal hydroxides and forms a complex with cytochrome p450, which prevents its activity. Chloridazon is used as a model system for studies on the effects of toxic substances and heavy metals on cells. Toxicological studies have shown that chloridazon can cause long-term toxicity and resistant mutants. The bound form of chloridazon has been shown to inhibit photosynthetic activity in plants, while the free form does not show this effect.
