Descripción:Chlorothalonil is a fungicide that inhibits the production of fungal cell walls by interfering with the synthesis of chitin. It has been shown to be synergistic with other pesticides, such as benzalkonium chloride, for controlling pests. Chlorothalonil has also been shown to inhibit the growth of axons in neurons and has genotoxic properties. This chemical inhibits enzyme activity and can have an adverse effect on biochemical properties. The surface methodology for chlorothalonil is colloidal gold, which is used to measure its rate constant.
