Descripción:3-Cyclohexylpropanal is an organic compound that contains a hydroxy group and an alkyl group. It is a colorless liquid with a fruity odor. The compound has been shown to have beneficial effects in animal models for Alzheimer’s disease. 3-Cyclohexylpropanal was found to inhibit amyloid beta production, which is believed to be the main cause of Alzheimer’s disease, by inhibiting protein aggregation. This compound may also have potential as a mosquito repellent due to its ability to repel mosquitoes at low concentrations. 3-Cyclohexylpropanal can also be used as a precursor in the synthesis of chalcones and bioassay compounds.
