Descripción:Cythioate is a chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbon that is used in animal health. It is an anthelmintic, which means it kills worms or other parasites. Cythioate has been shown to be highly effective against the parasite Ctenocephalides felis, also known as the cat flea. It has also been shown to have a toxic effect on larvae of the water flea Daphnia magna and to inhibit the growth of plants. This chemical can be found in wastewater treatment plants where it is used for cross-linking for cellulose production.
