1-Chlorononane is a small molecule that is used in chromatography for the separation of fatty acids and other chemical substances. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the release of arachidonic acid from mammalian cells. 1-Chlorononane has also been shown to have a constant pressure of viscosity at high temperatures, as well as thermal expansion. It contains a hydroxyl group and an alkylthio group, which are both reactive functional groups. This molecule also contains chlorine atoms.
