• Descripción: C.I. Basic Violet 7 is a reactive dye with a high resistance to wastewater treatment and radiation. It has been shown to react with hydroxyl groups in the presence of disulfide bonds and polymerase chain reactions. The optical sensor of C.I. Basic Violet 7 can be used for the detection of choroidal neovascularization in patients with age-related macular degeneration. C.I. Basic Violet 7 also exhibits reactive properties when mixed with metal hydroxides, such as hydroquinone and ferrous sulfate, which cause an increase in the pH of the solution due to its decomposition into phenol and hydrogen peroxide. C.I. Basic Violet 7 is also used as a dye for cotton, wool, silk, and nylon fibers that are dyed before weaving or spinning them into yarns or fabrics to give them a permanent color or wash fastness properties that resist fading or running when exposed to water.br>
