Descripción:5-Chloro-3-hydroxypyridine is a cholinergic, which is an organic compound that binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. It has been shown to inhibit glutamate receptor subtypes and potentiate adenosine receptors. 5-Chloro-3-hydroxypyridine also has the functional group of hydroxyl group, which interacts with hydrogen bond in vitro, and the enthalpic activation energy of -8.1kcal/mol. This drug can be used as a research tool to study the effects of acetylcholine on neurotransmitter release in vivo and in vitro, as well as its role in Alzheimer's disease.
