2-(4-Chlorobenzenesulphonyl)acetonitrile is a reactive chemical that is synthesized from chloroform and acetonitrile. It is metabolized in the liver by oxidation of the methyl group to form 4-chlorobenzene sulfonic acid, which is excreted through urine.
