The compound has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of human cancer cell lines, such as breast cancer and prostate cancer, by blocking EGFR signaling. 3-Chloro-4-(3-fluorobenzyloxy)aniline also inhibits the activity of other kinases, such as lapatinib and 2-amino-4-fluorobenzoic acid. This inhibition may be due to its ability to bind to the ATP binding site on these enzymes.
