Descripción:6-Chloro-2-nitrobenzoic acid is an organic compound with the formula C6H3ClNO2. It is a white crystalline powder that reacts readily with water to form a dilute solution. The reaction yield of 6-chloro-2-nitrobenzoic acid can be increased by heating the solution to dehydrate it, and this can be done at room temperature or higher. The reaction time can also be shortened by adding more chloride ions to the solution. This organic compound has two isomers, one of which is stable and the other which is unstable. The unstable isomer can be removed by recrystallizing the product from a solvent such as dicloxacillin or potassium chloride.
