Descripción

The asymmetric synthesis of 4-chlorodiphenylcarbinol is an efficient method that uses a simple, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly reagent. The reaction proceeds in the presence of hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide solution. The reaction mechanism is the same as for the preparation of other chiral alcohols.
