Información del producto
- (2-Chlorophenyl)(3-Nitrophenyl)Methanone
2-Chloroacetyl-5-nitrobenzophenone (2-CNBP) is a benzohydrazide derivative that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of 2-chloroacetyl-5-nitrobenzophenone methanesulfonate (CANB), which is a potent herbicide. The crystal structure of 2-CNBP has been determined by X-ray diffraction and found to be monoclinic.
2-CNBP has been shown to inhibit angstrom, which are enzymes that transfer acetyl groups from acetyl coenzyme A to pyruvate during carbohydrate metabolism. It also inhibits methanol dehydrogenase, an enzyme that converts methanol to formaldehyde and then formate.
