Descripción:4-Chloro-6-methoxyquinazoline is a quinazoline derivative that acts as a potent agonist at the melatonin receptor. It has been shown to have pharmacological properties and is used in the treatment of insomnia. 4-Chloro-6-methoxyquinazoline binds to the melatonin receptor and mimics the effects of endogenous melatonin on the central nervous system. This drug also has affinity for other receptors, such as those for serotonin, dopamine, and acetylcholine.
