1-Chloro-2,4-difluorobenzene is a chlorinated aromatic compound that belongs to the group of n-boc-4-piperidinemethanols. It is a reagent for cross-coupling reactions and can be used to synthesize substituted piperidines. 1-Chloro-2,4-difluorobenzene has been shown to be an effective chlorinating agent in cross-coupling reactions with nitroarenes. 1,2,4 Difluoro benzene reacts with piperidine to produce substituted piperidines by nucleophilic substitution. This reaction is mediated by solvent and metal catalyst. The piperidine molecule is also capable of undergoing cross coupling reactions with mesylates or carboxylates under different conditions.
