Descripción:Cholest-5-en-3b-yl hexadecanoate is a fatty acid that is used to synthesize dextran sulfate. It is a subcutaneous tumor model and has been shown to be effective against human body mass index (BMI) with human serum in vitro. Cholest-5-en-3b-yl hexadecanoate has also been found to inhibit atherosclerotic lesions in vivo and can be used as a fluorescence probe for cholesteryl. This fatty acid also inhibits the growth of infectious diseases, such as Staphylococcus aureus, which infects humans. The melting point of this compound is around 100°C and it becomes liquid at room temperature.
