Cyclo(Gly-L-Leu) is a cyclic peptide that binds to the kappa opioid receptors, which are involved in the regulation of motility. Cyclo(Gly-L-Leu) has been shown to stimulate locomotor activity and inhibit pain transmission in the rat striatum. It also inhibits dopamine release from presynaptic terminals following chronic exposure. The molecular modeling study of this compound shows that it is highly stable because of its intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions.
