Información del producto
- Diethyl 2-chloro-3-oxosuccinate
- 2-Chloro-3-Oxo-Succinic Acid Diethyl Ester
- Butanedioic acid, 2-chloro-3-oxo-, diethyl ester
2-Chloro-3-oxo-succinic acid diethyl ester is a gaseous pyrylium salt that is insoluble in water and organic solvents. It is prepared by the reaction of triflic acid with 2-chloro-3-oxobutanoic acid. The preparation of this compound can be done by the acetylation of 2,2-dichloropropionic acid with diethyl malonate. In addition to its use as a metal salt, it has been used as a reagent for the production of perchlorates and sodium salts. This chemical reacts with isobutene to produce diethyl ether and acetylene gas. The reaction mechanism is through an ionic intermediate that produces an anion that reacts with the electrophilic substrate.
