Descripción:6-Chloro-tetral-1-on is a bicyclic ketoxime that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other chemicals. It is also used to study the mechanisms of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Its synthesis can be accomplished through the reaction of chloroacetone and sodium acetate, which generates a 6-chloro lactam. The structure was first isolated from Australian natural sources by liquid chromatography analysis.
