6-Chloroflavone is a quinone that has shown to have biological properties in the treatment of infectious and autoimmune diseases. It has been shown to inhibit the replication of recombinant virus, human serum, and nitrogen atoms in rat liver microsomes. The UV absorption spectrum of 6-chloroflavone shows that it has a high affinity for benzodiazepine binding sites and glucocorticoid receptors. 6-Chloroflavone is also an effective inhibitor of t47d cells and has been shown to be an anti-inflammatory agent.
