2-Cyano-3-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-pyridine is a chemical compound that can be synthesized from pyridine and chlorinated carbon compounds. It is used in the treatment of wastewater, with a high yield and low yield. 2-Cyano-3-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-pyridine is also used as a catalyst for reactions, such as the Raney reaction. The palladium catalysts are transferred to the surface of the metal powder by reaction with water vapor. This reaction creates a thin layer of palladium on the surface of the metal powder, which facilitates catalytic activity. 2-Cyano-3-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-pyridine has been shown to be effective against pesticide and herbicide resistance in plants.
