2-Chloro-3-cyano-6-methylpyridine is an anticancer drug that can be used to treat cancer. It is a non-toxic drug that binds to cancer cells and inhibits their growth. 2-Chloro-3-cyano-6-methylpyridine has been shown to have a cytotoxic effect against MDA MB231 breast cancer cells, MCF7 breast cancer cells, and other cancer cell lines in vitro. This drug also has a high yield for the synthesis of 2-(4-(2-(2-chloroethyl)thiazoliumyl)phenyl)-1H,1H,2H,2H,-tetrazole (doxorubicin), which is an anticancer agent that works by binding to DNA and inhibiting the production of RNA and proteins needed for cell division.
