Descripción:
2-(2-Chloro-4-methoxyphenyl)acetic acid (CLMPAA) is an agonist at the 5-HT1A receptor. It binds to the transporter and increases serotonin uptake. CLMPAA has been shown to have antidepressant-like effects in animal models, and is also an antagonist of benzylpiperidine, which is a 5-HT1A agonist. CLMPAA has a rapid onset of action and displays high bioavailability following oral administration. The drug has also been shown to be effective against serotonin transporter polymorphism that may be associated with major depressive disorder.
