Cyclohexanecarboxylic acid is a carboxylic acid that can be found in the reaction solution of p-hydroxybenzoic acid. The synthesis of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid is a chemical reaction that takes place between benzoic acid and caproic acid, in which an ester bond is formed. Cyclohexanecarboxylic acid has been shown to have metal chelating properties, with the ability to bind to metals such as iron and copper.
