Descripción:3-Carboxybenzaldehyde is a hydroxy aromatic compound with a molecular formula of C8H6O2. It is a synthetic chemical that can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds, such as polycarboxylic acids. 3-Carboxybenzaldehyde has been shown to be an effective substrate for binding to polycarboxylic acid enzymes and activating them. This reaction generates the corresponding carboxylate product and releases CO2. 3-Carboxybenzaldehyde has also been used as a reactant in asymmetric synthesis reactions and shown to have some structural similarities with benzene ring structures.
