2-Chloro-5-methoxybenzonitrile is an organic compound that has a chlorinated methoxy group and a cyano group. It is synthesized by the reaction of 2-chloro-5-hydroxybenzonitrile with sulfuryl chloride in the presence of potassium carbonate.
