Descripción:4-Chlorobenzanilide is an efficient method for the synthesis of aryl chlorides. 4-Chlorobenzanilide is used as an antibacterial agent in the treatment of intestinal infections, and has been shown to have a suppressive effect on cancer. 4-Chlorobenzanilide inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thereby preventing transcription and replication. It also has an antibacterial activity that is mediated by the desulfurisation of sulfhydryl groups present in amides.
