Descripción:Cyclohexyl ethyl ketone is a hydroxyketone that is used in the asymmetric synthesis of methyl ketones. Cyclohexyl ethyl ketone can be synthesized by the reaction of cyclohexane, ethylene oxide, and hydrochloric acid. The reaction is catalyzed by a hydrogen chloride (HCl) or an alkylthio group. Cyclohexyl ethyl ketone has been shown to have insulin-resistance properties in mammalian cells. It also has congestive heart properties due to its ability to inhibit β-unsaturated ketones.
