Benzalkonium chloride, which is used as a preservative in food products, may interfere with the absorption of 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-1,5-dihydro-4-(4-morpholinyl)-2H-imidazol-2-one. This drug should not be used by pregnant women or children. Long term efficacy studies are unavailable for this drug. Controlled release preparations are available for this medication that can help improve compliance with dosing requirements.
