3'-Chloro-4'-Fluoroacetanilide is an organic solvent that is used as a pesticide and in the preparation of other chemicals. It is also used as a solvent for dyes, resins, and oils. The chemical has been found to be photodegradable under irradiation with light from the sun or artificial sources such as fluorescent lamps. 3'-Chloro-4'-Fluoroacetanilide has been shown to adsorb onto benzene rings in the presence of hydrogen bonds. This makes it soluble in water and less likely to evaporate into the atmosphere.
