Cyclohexanecarboxylic acid 3-fluorophenyl ester is a liquid crystal. The low viscosity and temperature range of this compound allows for its use in the production of liquid crystal displays, as a solvent for coatings, and in pharmaceuticals. Cyclohexanecarboxylic acid 3-fluorophenyl ester has been shown to have an antibacterial effect against Clostridium perfringens due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis. This compound can also be used as a solvent for coatings and in pharmaceuticals.
