17-Cyclopropylmethyl-3,14-dihydroxy-4,5-epoxy-6-fluoromorphinan (17CPHMF) is a dopamine receptor agonist that has been used as a diagnostic agent to differentiate Parkinsonian syndromes from other neurological disorders. 17CPHMF binds to the D2 and D3 dopamine receptors in the rat brain and increases extracellular levels of dopamine. It also has an affinity for serotonin receptors. The compound was shown to increase the rate of transport of dopamine across the blood brain barrier and into the brain in rats.
