Descripción

Deoxyschizandrin is a natural product extracted from the plant Schisandra chinensis. It has shown to have potent anti-inflammatory effects in vitro and in vivo, as well as cytoprotective effects. Deoxyschizandrin has been clinically effective in treating breast cancer cells and diabetic cardiomyopathy cells. The extract of this compound has been shown to inhibit the cell cycle by preventing nuclear proteins from binding to DNA, which prevents the progression of the cell cycle. Deoxyschizandrin also inhibits adipose tissue inflammation and gene expression, and has potent cytotoxic activity against breast cancer cells.
