(2,5-Dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl) (2S)-2-[(4-Azido-2,3,5,6-Tetrafluorobenzoyl)Amino]-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)Propanoate is a crosslinker that is used in biochemistry. It reacts with azide groups to produce a heterobifunctional reagent with reactive groups on both the azo and hydroxyl moieties. The reaction of the heterobifunctional reagent with an azide group results in the formation of a covalent bond between the two molecules. This product is useful for photochemically oriented polymers and also has applications in radioiodination as well as biochemical research.
