3,3-Difluoroazetidine HCl is a fluorescent compound and a potential cancer drug. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme tyrosine kinase that is involved in the signaling pathway for growth and division of cells. 3,3-Difluoroazetidine HCl also inhibits viral replication by binding to the protein coat of the virus. The nitrogen atoms in this compound are responsible for its cancer cell proliferation inhibition activity. This drug has been shown to be effective against Alzheimer's disease and neurodegenerative diseases due to its ability to inhibit β-amyloid production, which can lead to neuron death. 3,3-Difluoroazetidine HCl binds to c1-6 alkyl groups and may have antiviral effects on hepatitis C virus (HCV). This drug has been shown to bind with acetylcholine receptors and may have therapeutic benefits as an anti-inflammatory agent in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis
